A Cookie is a small data files that gets placed on your computer or mobile device by your browser when you visit a website. Cookies are widely used by website owners in order to make their websites work and to track users and to provide website visitor reporting information.
A cookie set by the website owner itself is called a first party cookie. A cookie set by some party other than the website owner is called a third party cookie. Third party cookies enable the third party to provide functionality on the website (e.g. like advertising, interactive content and analytics). The parties that set these third party cookies can recognize your computer both when it visits the website in question and also when it visits certain other websites.
We use first and third party cookies to enable us to track visitors to our websites. Third parties serve cookies through our Websites for visitor analytics.
We use Google Analytics, a Google product that helps site and app owners understand how people engage with a service. Google Analytics uses a set of third party cookies to collect information and report site usage statistics without personally identifying individual visitors. ‘_ga’ is the main cookie used by Google Analytics. ‘_ga’ enables a service to distinguish one user from another and lasts for 2 years. It’s used by any site that implements Google Analytics, including Google services.
You have the right to decide whether to accept or reject cookies. You can exercise your cookie rights by opting in or out of cookie tracking (option 1 below). We have documented several other ways to control cookies below too.
Opting-out using the Google Analytics browser-plugin
The solution to opt-out from Google Analytics as a visitor is offered by Google itself in form of a browser plugin that you can download here. This allows you to not get tracked on any site using Google Analytics, not just our Websites.
Opting-out using an Ad blocker or other plugin
Many Ad Blockers or similar browser plugins have cookie control features included.
Our websites do not display or contain advertising. But for other websites that do, most advertising networks offer you a way to opt out of targeted advertising. To find out more visit http://www.aboutads.info/choices/ or http://www.youronlinechoices.com.
We use the following and only the following cookies on our websites.
|Purpose:||To remember if you have explicitly opted in or opted out of Cookie tracking for this site on this machine|
|Expires in:||2 years from the time you opt out|
|Purpose:||Used to distinguish individual users by means of designation of a randomly generated number as client identifier, which allows calculation of visits and sessions|
|Expires in:||1 year 11 months 29 days|
|Purpose:||It records a particular ID used to come up with data about website usage by the user. It is a HTTP cookie that expires after 2 years.|

Cookies are not the only technology that can be used to recognize or track visitors to a website.
We do not use tracking pixels on our Websites
We do not use web beacons (sometimes called “tracking pixels” or “clear gifs”). These are tiny graphics files that contain a unique identifier that enable the website to recognize when someone has visited our Websites or opened an e-mail including them.
Note that we do, however, use tracking pixels in our outbound newsletter and marketing emails.
We do not use Flash cookies or Local Shared Objects
Some websites may also use so-called “Flash Cookies” (also known as Local Shared Objects or “LSOs”) to, among other things, collect and store information about your use of our services, fraud prevention and for other site operations. We don’t use these.
Note: If you are interested in preventing these on other sites, you can adjust the settings of your Flash player to block Flash Cookies (see the Flash Website Storage Settings Panel).
We do not serve targeted advertising
Because our Websites don’t contain any advertizing, we don’t need to allow any Third parties to set cookies on your computer or mobile device to serve targetted advertising through our Websites.
