I have loved photographs for as long as I can remember. My parents
took thousands of slides of us growing up. We traveled a lot.
My father was in the military, stationed in Maine. Several times,
we made the long drive across the US to visit family in California.
My parents varied the route each time, stopping at all the National
Parks, taking pictures along the way. When we returned home they
would blow up all their favorites and cover entire walls of our
home with 8 x 10’s stapled side by side. My mom calls it
family picture wallpaper.
My first camera was their old Minolta SRT-101 with a 50 mm f/1.4
lens. For years I used that camera to shoot black & white
landscapes and portraits of family and friends. In 2003 decided
to work full time on photography, and in 2004 I went all digital.
I am a Fine Art photographer based in San Francisco and am currently
working on a book of the Presidio
of San Francisco.
